A game that has conquered the imagination of people all around the world. It is very known and appreciated especially between teenagers but also a great relaxing game for the adults.
What is Laser Tag?
Laser tag was first developed and used by the US Army but in time, it became a fun game for people all over the world. It is a real industry in the gaming world and very fast from its release, it became a worldwide phenomenon.
People over 7 years old are allowed to play it and enjoy some real-life simulations of combat, usually. If you believe you are up for the challenge and the curiosity is killing you, you should really try it. This game can be played both indoors and outdoors. Depending on the season, budget or needs you to make your choice.
People that have played laser tag say it is very fun and recommend it. If you do not want to play a game for the mere fun of it, you can also play it as a sport. Afterwards, you will decide your view on it and reasons to play it. No matter where you play it, outdoors or indoors, there is a designated arena for the game and players are equipped with a laser gun and a vest with sensors.
Despite its name, it is not a game that uses real lasers as these would be harmful to people. However, the name is appropriate, as it uses infrared technology that looks as cool as lasers, without being truly dangerous.
There are some general rules for playing the game like no touching, no running, no high heeled shoes and some rules that depend on the game and on the players like the number of lives, the effect of the tagging, the firing rate etc. Nevertheless, you do not have to worry if you have not played before, as the rules are explained before starting the game. It is played in a dark environment and though there is no dress code, like in paintball, you should realize that a light coloured outfit would glow in the dark and make you easy to target.
Depending on how imaginative you are, you can make the laser tag game simpler or more complex. It is great fun for those that have experience in laser tag to try to make the game more complex by creating different strategies, personas, worlds etc.
Does laser tag hurt?
Laser tag is a game that has been developed to imitate combat but at the same time, it helps one to get acquainted with the field without feeling the real-life pain. What it does not simulate is the real-life hurt you may feel on the land once someone shoots you.
However, this is a game and this is not the case. However, the idea is to make sure no one laser tags you or you are dead. In addition, while playing it you have to have this well rooted in your head so that you win.
Despite its name, it does not use real lasers, as this would hurt you and your eyes. The “laser” equipment is actually made with infrared light, which helps you stay safe and free of hurts.
The only change to get hurt while playing laser tag is to trip and fall.
Laser Tag vs Paintball
Many people compare laser tag to paintball. Taking it a wide view one can compare the two of them, but looking closer they suffer no comparison as there is a different idea in the background of the game.
