If you’re a bit of a sports buff or fancy keeping fit, Foster Sports Centre offers a wide variety of activities to get involved in, ranging from programmes of activities for indoor team games and racket sports to exercise classes and a fully equipped fitness suite. They offer sports such as badminton, basketball, fencing, 5-a-side football, indoor hockey, netball, tennis, volleyball, and several martial arts including Karate, Kung Fu, Ju Jitsu and Tae Kwon Do.

Local facilities are hired to provide canoeing, climbing, golf, horse riding, squash, swimming, trampolining and windsurfing.

On top of that, the fitness suite has over 35 stations of cardiovascular and resistance machines. The studio hosts over 25 health and fitness classes per week including aerobics, step, combat aerobics, body max, studio cycling and yoga. In the activities room there is table tennis, yoga, dance, cheerleading and martial arts available.

Facilities and activities are open to all to come and have a go!

See below for what the students have to say about Foster Sports Centre:

“I started using the gym facilities as I wanted to maintain health and fitness. I have had a great experience, the facilities are great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The opening times are great so you can use the facilities at any time of the day”

One didn’t use the sports centre initially but said the facilities made good use of her spare time:
“I started going to Foster Sports Centre to get into shape for my holidays. My experience was great and it meant I used my spare time productively instead of on the computer wasting time”

No matter what your fitness level is, come and give the facilities a go!!!
