Become an eco warrior!
Well you don’t have to go that far but you might like to do a bit!
Students as a group (like lots of other groups) can have a large carbon footprint. Just think of all the TVs, lights, hair straighteners, radios, phone chargers, laptops, etc left plugged in or switched on but not actually being used.
As for the amount of rubbish? Well when some of the TAG Team were in halls there was no recycling - it all went in huge skips ready for the landfills. Nice.
Things are changing and UCLan, bless ‘em, are trying to go green. They are not doing too badly but the students are a huge part of the UCLan community and without your help the uni will only mange a light shade of brown.
