Learning at university level
You should really think about preparing yourself to learn at a university level as it can be very different from school or college.
Contact with staff may be very different from school or college, teaching is only one aspect of an academic’s job so you generally have to book appointments to see them. The university also has expectations from you – you need to take ownership of your learning. The contact time at university in classes is only the starting point – you “read” a degree at university and this means you need to study your subject outside of lectures with guidance from your academics through reading lists and class.
