The SU Advice Centre (based in the Students' Union) offers free and confidential advice on issues such as funding, benefits entitlement, housing, debt and academic matters. They are independent of the University and their staff are professionally trained and are licensed to give money and debt management information.
So if you find yourself in a bit of a pickle, these are people who can help and they act with your best interests in mind, on an impartial level.
