Students' Union

Inside the Students' Union

The Students' Union  is based right at the centre of the Preston campus at UCLan and is here to make your life better as a student.

From the moment you enrol you're a member of the Students' Union and that means you can get involved, benefit from quality independent advice and also use the great bars, clubs and shops in the Union building.

The Union involves thousands of students every year in student life, from running clubs and societies, taking part in campaigns on important student issues all the way through to the annual elections  to elect student officers (the Student Affairs Committee) who make change happen for students across the UCLan campus and its partner colleges.

As a new student you can find out loads more about the Union, including what's coming up during the Intro fortnight (including Intro Fair, The Opener and Student Activities Fair), get advice on the issues affecting new students and check out maps of where to get student discounts, eat and drink in Preston.

You'll find out a lot more about the Union as the building is used as the registration point for Open Days and is also the centre of a lot of events during the Intro period.
