'futures' programme of tutorials, workshops and presentations
A realistic Guide to life at UCLan - written by students!
Here are what some of the students who have utilised the service had to say...
A BSc (Hons) Geography student said the programmes gave him helpful career advice:
“The workshops and tutorials gave me help with looking for a better job, interview skills, confidence skills and the type of work to look for relating to my qualifications.”
A mature student who is studying on the BA (Hons) Active Citizenship and Volunteer Development course found the programmes extremely beneficial:
“The Business Inspiration workshops were fascinating and enlightening. The trainer was enthusiastic, a well informed leader and delivered his sessions with precise clarity (plus an injection of humour!) Many students completed the course with much more confidence to explore different avenues plus they had the knowledge and background information needed including marketing, business plan and finances”
Another mature student studying on the BSc (Hons) Homeopathy course wishes she would have been able to attend all of the sessions:
“This was a good experience. Talking with others from others from other business backgrounds helped me clarify my own ideas. My only regret is that I was not able to attend all the sessions due to pressure of university work."
These sessions are open to all students and are free of charge.
