A realistic Guide to life at UCLan - written by students!
The International Student Advice Team offers immigration advice before and during your studies. Their services include PBS information, visa extensions, operation of the Student Batch Scheme, advice on working regulations, liaison with the Home Office and where necessary, referral to external agencies. The team also organises the HESPP and Orientation Programmes for new students.

I first contacted the International Student Advice Team shortly after I joined UCLan to extend my visa. I attended a really helpful and informative briefing session and found it easy then to complete my visa extension application form.
A few years later I needed to extend my visa again and this time it was a bit more complicated. I should have gone to the International Student Advice Team for assistance, as I did my application myself and it was declined. I was very worried and went to the International Student Advice Team who were able to speak Chinese, gave me tremendous help and recognised the seriousness of my case. I was assisted through every step of the way and I ended up getting my visa renewed.
One student didn't realise what they were missing;
