You may be studying a maths degree or have an element of maths and statistics in your course. Learning these skills at a university level may be scary but the sooner you get the ball rolling, the sooner you can tackle any concerns you may be having. The important thing is to be proactive, attend all your lectures and work on any skills you feel you need improving. The mathcentre website is fantastic and provides quick reference leaflets, math tutor video tutorials, teach yourself booklets, online exercises, facts and formulae leaflets and revision booklets. If thats not enough then there is also math tutor i-pod video segments and 3GP phone downloads so you can tackle your maths on the move too!! The website covers topics on Algebra, Arithmetic, Complex numbers, Differentiation, Functions and Graphs, Geometry, Integration, Mechanics, Sequences and Series, Statistics, Trigonometry and Vectors.
The University of Plymouth has made freely available through the mathcentre website support materials for mathematics and statistics. This resource is excellent for those studying maths at a university level.
Learn Higher provides support for students who have maths and statistics comprised within their degree. There is also online material and work booklets available for students through the website.
The Open University has provided OpenLearn has a mathematics and statistics section which has introductory and intermediate level modules on a range of mathematical and statisical topics and is free for educational use.
Intute's Internet Mathematician is an interactive tutorial on internet research skills for mathematicians and is a excellent and informative resource which is well worth a look.
